This morning, the ordinary general meeting of the Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro members was held at its Rivarolo del Re headquarters. Key items on the agenda included the approval of the 2018 financial statement and the appointment of the new Board of Directors and Board of Statutory Auditors for the upcoming 2019-2021 three-year term.

The members, who unanimously approved all agenda items, were granted a €5 per ton price increase for delivered tomatoes (totaling approximately €85 per ton, compared to €79.75 from the North Italy interprofessional agreement) and reconfirmed the outgoing Board of Directors, with Paolo Voltini as President, thus sending a clear signal of continuity.

Voltini, 47, an agricultural entrepreneur and President of the Consorzio Casalasco since 2002, also serves as president of the Consorzio Agrario di Cremona, Coldiretti Cremona, and Coldiretti Lombardy Region. Reconfirmed to assist Voltini as vice-president was Marco Sartori.

Also speaking at the assembly was General Manager Costantino Vaia, who detailed the most significant investments made between 2016 and 2018 in the production facilities across the group's three plants, the commercial objectives achieved, and also mentioned the acquisition of a majority stake in SAC of Carmagnola (TO), which enabled the company to gain a strong foothold, particularly in the French market.

Vaia then focused on the significant revenue growth results that this all generated, rising from 240 million euros in 2017 to approximately 270 million in 2018, achieved primarily through exports and the continuous development of the Cooperative's proprietary brands, Pomì and De Rica.

Concluding the meeting, President Voltini thanked all the members for their continuous support given to the Cooperative over the past few years.
