The World Tomato Congress, a biennial benchmark event organized by AMITOM and the World Processing Tomato Council, will be hosted in Italy by AIIPA, Confcooperative and is sponsored by the Interprofessional Organization Industrial Tomato District – Northern Italy, which will also play a key role in the post-congress tour, in Parma on June 11th and 12th, 2014.
The main theme of the Congress will be “From Field to Fork: A Shared Commitment for the Future of Processed Tomato Products”, which will unite the topics discussed during the Congress: production forecasts, consumption, sustainability, and productivity of industrial tomatoes. For the first time, Retail will also be actively present, to provide its perspective on new consumption trends.
