The environmental sustainability and respect for biodiversity, care and attention to the local area, and the desire to hand over a better world to future generations, have prompted Pomì to enthusiastically join the project of reforestation of the San Colombano Intermunicipal Local Park in Suzzara (MN), where 250 trees were planted.

The project came to fruition thanks to the collaboration with WOWnature, an initiative launched in 2018 by Etifor, a spin-off of theUniversity of Padua, with the aim of helping citizens, organizations, and companies grow new forests and protect existing ones, while adhering to the highest standards of forest management.
Pomì has chosen to plant willows, oaks, and snowball viburnums sourced from certified nurseries, in a floodplain environment along the banks of the Po River, to strengthen its connection with a region where many agricultural entrepreneurs specializing in tomato cultivation live.

Pomì farmers are, in fact, predominantly located between the provinces of Cremona, Parma, Piacenza, and, indeed, Mantua, just like the production facilities, demonstrating a short and sustainable supply chain.
The 250 Pomì trees planted will be monitored by Etifor experts for the next 3 years to ensure their safe growth. Pomì will continue its journey already undertaken for years, aimed at containing and mitigating the environmental impact of its production activities, with concrete actions and through promoting a culture of sustainability to protect the land and foster biodiversity.
