Pomì, a brand of Gruppo Casalasco, has decided to donate 100,000 meals to people in need for the upcoming Christmas holidays, thanks to Banco Alimentare. In fact, with Pomì's financial donation, Banco Alimentare will be able to distribute food to people in need, equivalent to 100,000 meals*, through its affiliated local partner organizations (*an “equivalent meal” corresponds to a mix of 500g of food based on LARN - Reference Intake Levels of Nutrients and Energy for the Italian population).

The initiative stems from the desire to help combat the economic crisis that many Italian families are experiencing, risking food poverty.
Pomì, always attentive to the social needs of the population in the areas where it operates, has decided to extend the donation nationwide to reach as many disadvantaged people as possible. “For us, this is a cultural and social choice that confirms our way of doing business by producing and distributing basic food products with an awareness of their value. Banco Alimentare, a valuable entity in the social fabric, is an organization that works tirelessly to support those experiencing economic hardship, and for this reason, we joined the initiative without hesitation,” states Costantino Vaia, CEO of Casalasco.
“We are pleased and grateful for this new collaboration with a prominent company like Pomì. Initiatives like this can only strengthen our alliance with the corporate world. We will only grow with partners who, like Pomì, believe in solidarity and sharing. The ability to work as a team is essential to contribute to improving the conditions of those in need, that is, all those we help every day.” Says Giovanni Bruno, President of Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus.
