According to the recent laboratory research by the German magazine Öko-Test, specializing in comprehensive ecological quality tests conducted on goods and services, Pomìto (the German version of Pomì) is among the best tomato purees available on supermarket shelves in Germany.

The laboratory test, conducted on approximately 50 tomato purees, 40 of which were of Italian origin, analyzed not only the taste and flavor of the products but, more importantly, the presence of molds, pesticides, and other quality defects. It also assessed the transparency of the tomatoes' origin and producers, the guarantee of fair working conditions for supply chain workers, and efforts made towards sustainable irrigation.

Pomì/Pomìto, which showed no trace of pesticides and demonstrated excellent raw material quality, transparency regarding both the origin of the tomatoes and the farmers, combined with excellent performance in terms of water saving, received a very good overall rating, ranking among the best.

The Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro, owner of the Pomì and Pomìto brands, has indeed been working for years with its members to implement agronomic protocols to ensure increasingly safe raw materials and a reduced environmental impact from its activities. Furthermore, the Consorzio Casalasco is committed to promoting an ethical management model throughout its supply chain, based on respect and the dissemination of standards protecting human and labor rights.
