De Rica, a historic Italian brand, has always been synonymous with natural, genuine, and high-quality products. Thanks to the relaunch initiated by Generale Conserve at the end of 2013, it enjoys widespread recognition and distribution coverage in Italy and various foreign countries, positioning itself in the premium segment of the vegetable preserves market.

Thanks to the agreement between the two companies, the acquisition ensures that De Rica remains in Italy. The operation brings the renowned brand back to its original production area and marks the transfer of another important Italian brand directly into the hands of the cooperative agricultural sector, representing an entirely Italian supply chain with strong ties to its region of origin.

Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro Soc.Agr.Coop
The leading Italian supply chain for the cultivation and processing of tomato derivatives, with a turnover of 230 million euros, it currently comprises 370 associated farms cultivating 7,000 hectares of land located in the Po Valley across the provinces of Cremona (where it is headquartered in Rivarolo del Re), Parma, Piacenza, and Mantua. This region now allows 550,000 tons of freshly harvested tomatoes to be processed in the cooperative's three owned facilities into products exported to 60 countries worldwide.

For the operation, the companies were advised by Studio Vitale & Co, assisted by LMCR/Studio legale associato for Generale Conserve, and by Studio De Bellis for Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro.
