Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro, an agricultural cooperative specializing in the production and processing of industrial tomatoes, announces that it has completed the merger by incorporation of Boschi Food & Beverage, a company already controlled by Consorzio Casalasco and also specializing in the processing of tomato-based products, as well as the production of soups and beverages.
The merger by incorporation of Boschi Food & Beverage and the brands Pomì, Pomito, and Pais into Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro will enable the new company to achieve synergies in general services management, logistics services, and commercial organization, resulting in benefits in terms of management and increased profitability, as well as greater organizational and management flexibility.
Consorzio Casalasco, which has been active in the sector for over 30 years, is now a company with approximately 600 employees and a turnover of over 200 million euros. Industrially, it boasts 4 production plants and over 40 production lines.
With 340,000 tons of tomatoes processed in the 2011 season and over 300 associated farms, it is now one of the most important players in the international canning sector, positioning itself at the forefront in terms of innovation, high quality, and attention to consumer health and the surrounding environment.
