With over 800,000 tons of fresh tomatoes processed during the 2022 season, the Casalasco Group, which recently acquired Emiliana Conserve, reaffirms its position as a national leader in the sector and among the top 10 worldwide.

Despite a season marked by drought and soaring energy costs, the Cremona-based company managed to process all the tomatoes supplied by over 800 associated farms in its 5 plants (located across the provinces of Cremona, Parma, and Piacenza), which guaranteed not only quantity but also excellent quality.

«Once again – states Costantino Vaia, CEO of Casalasco - our integrated supply chain model has proven successful. Despite recent seasons being characterized by exceptional events such as the pandemic, drought, or exorbitant cost increases, we have managed to ensure production in both quantity and quality, generating value and growth».

The Casalasco Group, in addition to being an international industry benchmark in industrial tomatoes with its brands Pomi and De Rica, is also one of the main co-packers for the production of sauces, condiments, and ketchup for the most important food multinationals.

The projected turnover for 2022 will exceed half a billion euros, with an export share of over 70%, seeing its products distributed in over 60 countries worldwide.

Casalasco, which has always been attentive to ESG issues, has also recently published its fourth Sustainability Report highlighting the results achieved in terms of supply chain, quality, environment and safety, health, and workers' rights.
