Italy saw several industry representatives involved in the proceedings, including Costantino Vaia, General Manager of the Casalasco Tomato Consortium.
He, in his capacity as President of AMITOM (international organization of tomato processing industries and cooperatives in the Mediterranean basin), had the honor of announcing the awarding to Italy of the patronage for the next event in June 2014.The World Processing Tomato Congress is a global meeting of all agronomic operators, processing and multinational companies.
In the 10th edition of the congress, Italy was present with the most important leaders of industry. For this occasion the General Director of Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro and president of AMITOM (International Mediterranean Organization of Industries and Cooperatives of Tomato) Costantino Vaia announced the award to Italy for the next World Tomato Congress on June, 2014.
