With a growing turnover of 310 million (+17%) and spreading exports of more than 65%
Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro closes economic year 2019 with a steady increase of turnover of 17% up to 310 million of euros, boosting the trend of growth of these last years. Concretely, development identifies a significant increase in market shares abroad, both as regards co-packing and private label sales segment.
Export segment, which covers nowadays two thirds of revenue, is the driving force and the key element of growth development for cooperative and his subsidiaries, which export in more than 60 countries all over the world. From a business point of view, tomato and tomato-based products are still strategically strong, with a wide range of products and packaging, especially ready sauces first, then soups and cream soups, fruit juices and vegetable drinks.
Retail segment is still the first sales channel both with its own brand products (Pomì and De Rica), and Private label productions with premium level for important food multinational companies.
As Mr Costantino Vaia, Managing Director of Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro said «2019 was a very challenging year from many points of view, we saw an improving important business solidity, especially abroad.
