We want consumers to know everything about our product. For this purpose, we have implemented a final-consumer-oriented tool, able to register and trace back all the information from the cultivation to the finished product. 

CASALASCO IS SYNONYMOUS OF:

  1. Cross analysis on soil, seeds and genetics
  2. Harvest at an average distance of 50 km from the plant
  3. Controlled and certified processing

SAFETY? IT BEGINS IN OUR AGRONOMY DEPARTMENT

Our agronomists oversee all steps: from the seedling, transplanting, cultivation up to crop, granting a natural product, 100% Italian, certified for use of GMO free seeds.
Since 2009 all farms producing fresh tomatoes for Casalasco, have been certified GlobalGap (Good Agricultural Practices) as for environmental aspects such as soil and waste management, the product (irrigation techniques, crop protection, different crop methods and post crop treatments), the health and safety of workers and their working conditions.

For farms employing workers, the Globalgap certification has been integrated with ETI (Ethical Trade Initiative) since 2012. The standard covers aspects concerning working safety, human and worker rights. In order to maintain tranparency and confidence with clients, partner and local community, Casalasco drafts the Environmental Declaration to foster a proper comprehension and assessment of the results and performances of the company.

In 2013 Casalasco joined United Nations Global Compact, a policy initiative embracing 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, which can help ensure businesses, which join it, to be aligned on operations and strategies.
